About

This Code of Conduct for Professional Data Scientists has been created as joint initiative between Prof. Dr. Peter Grindrod (University of Oxford) and Dr. Juan Bernabé Moreno (E.ON, University of Granada), in March 2018.

The Code is a dynamic document that will be iterated, extended and amended in a set of round tables across Europe, where data leading representatives from top institutions in Academia and Industry get together with concrete needs and expertise to polish the contents.

In addition, this code is available online for the community to interact with. Everybody can leave comments (no sign-up required) challenging our proposals, explaining situations where a particular clause applies, adding examples, suggesting changes, etc. In the end, we all are responsible for refining the code to ensure ethical behavior when we work with data.
